The images explain a lot. However, I recently watched an episode of Luke's APS on Youtube. While I think most of the time he is spot on. This is a topic we would disagree on. Luke claims that "it isn't the products" but "it's how you use them." I humbly disagree. The "tooth" listed on Amazon was more like "Sand." I believe they add a type of pumice inclusion in the white product. I found it flaking off in a white powdery dust, large clumps of sandy particles on the models, and they had an unnatural dryness to them. While it did cover in a few passes. Which is better than can be said of Vallejo primer white. You will most likely end up stripping them, in much the same way I did. The Vallejo white primer is most assuredly designed to be applied with an airbrush. properly applied primers should "shrink" onto the models. This is why many modelers have suggested using gesso instead of typical primers.
Gross texturing, causes an uneven painting surface.
